Keyboard Layout
The keyboard layout differs from the standard configuration that comes with Trainz!
We recommend keeping a copy of the original keyboard.txt file in case you want to play a different route later.
In general, the keyboard layouts differ very little between the different train series.
Significant differences are listed below in more detail.
General Layout

| Leertaste | Drive switch on/off |
| Shift+Leertaste | Drive switch on/off while the combination is held down |
| Z | Announcement „Please board“ |
| X | Announcement „Please stand back“ |
| NUM 8 | Unlock control desk |
| NUM 9 | Throttle & brake lever → Drive position |
| NUM 2 | Decrease brake |
| NUM 3 | Increase brake |
| NUM + | Intercom (macrophone) |
| F1 | Enable train protection |
| R | Release spring-loaded brake |
| 5 | Apply spring-loaded brake |
| J | Switch turnout (in front of the train) |
| [ | Camera: Look left |
| ] | Camera: Look right |
| 1 | Camera: Cockpit view |
| 2 | Camera: External view |
| Alt+H | Camera: Reset view |
| F5 | HUD: Hide everything |
| F7 | HUD: Hide bottom-right menu |
| F9 | HUD: Top right shows only speed and time |
Special Features for Series D/F

| Leertaste | Drive switch on/off / parking brake (if lever is on E4 & train is nearly stopped) |
